Legal notice and terms of use

1. Introduction

This legal notice governs access to and use of Galacticat digital services. Before using a feature, also read the specific information shown for it, particularly for purchases, promotions, voting and data processing.

The app’s technical design and development are provided under the XipApp trade name by Alex Colmenar Bofarull. This does not change ownership of the service or make XipApp, Apple or Google the festival organiser or ticket seller.

3. Scope

This notice governs Galacticat digital services where it is published or linked: festival information, programme, accounts, ticket and pass sales and participation. It applies to available web features and the corresponding iOS or Android mobile versions; it does not announce unreleased features or versions.

Browsing the programme is free. Using a feature means respecting its applicable terms, but does not mean consenting to advertising or waiving statutory rights.

4. Intellectual and industrial property

The brand, design and content belong to Associació Galacticat or third parties who have authorised their use. Posters, photographs and synopses are published to provide festival information. Viewing them grants no reproduction, exploitation or distribution rights beyond uses permitted by law or authorised by the rights holder.

If you believe material infringes your rights, write to info@galacticat.cat identifying the content and your relationship to the affected rights.

5. Proper use, accounts and security

Provide accurate data and protect passwords, recovery links and QR codes. Do not attempt to access other people's accounts, duplicate admissions, disrupt the service or bypass purchase and validation controls. Guest tickets require an email address; passes require registration.

Access issues and deletion requests can be handled at portal@galacticat.cat. Account deletion is available in Account > Edit details; retained records and data rights are explained in the privacy policy.

6. Ratings, comments and participation

Threats, harassment, discrimination, impersonation, explicit sexual content, other people's personal data and repetitive advertising are prohibited. Authors are responsible for their comments and authorise their display within the service.

We use mixed moderation: automatic filtering and human review where needed. You can report a comment or block its author through its menu. Authorised staff may remove content or restrict participation to protect users and the service. Moderation errors can be reported to support.

7. Tickets, passes and payments

The product, session, price, taxes, applicable discounts and total are shown before purchase confirmation. Check them before paying. Stripe processes payments; starting checkout does not confirm a paid ticket. Issuance depends on payment confirmation and availability.

The specific conditions of each ticket, pass or promotion and information supplied before purchase form part of the purchase. For issues, cancellations or refunds, contact portal@galacticat.cat with the reference, without sending full card details. This notice does not remove statutory consumer rights or establish a blanket waiver of refunds.

Deleting an account does not cancel a purchase or automatically request a refund. Keep your purchase email and contact support if you have unused tickets or passes.

8. App stores and external services

External links, maps, payments and store services have their own terms. Using the app does not make Apple or Google the festival organiser or ticket seller. The relevant store terms continue to apply where appropriate.

9. Service availability

Programme changes, maintenance and technical issues may occur. Relevant information will be communicated through available channels. Technical limitations do not exclude liabilities imposed by law.

10. Personal data protection

Data processing is explained in the privacy policy available on this portal and in the app. Promotional notifications are optional and require separate consent.

11. Liability

Associació Galacticat aims to keep information and services available and accurate, but errors, interruptions or programme changes may occur. It is not liable for use contrary to these terms or external services beyond its control, without prejudice to liabilities that cannot legally be excluded and mandatory consumer rights.

12. Third-party links

External links are provided for information or functionality and are governed by the third party’s terms. Their inclusion does not mean that Galacticat endorses all their content or accepts responsibility for their practices.

13. Changes to these terms

Updates to this notice are identified by their publication date. They do not retroactively alter completed purchase terms or replace required specific consents.

14. Applicable law and jurisdiction

Applicable Spanish and European law governs, respecting mandatory consumer rights and the courts competent under the law. Consumers are not required to waive their legally applicable jurisdiction.
